About Amahoro
Amahoro Africa is working to see the Gospel of Jesus bringing transformation to communities across Africa. We facilitate holistic transformation by encouraging, resourcing and connecting emerging African leaders who are committed to the tangible manifestation of justice, mercy and goodness in their local context.
Amahoro Africa works with those, African or not, who desire to engage in respectful partnerships that intend to further transformation in African communities in the name and spirit of Jesus. We are excited to work alongside those who are willing to themselves be changed in the process of these friendships with African leaders.
VISION
Amahoro Africa’s vision is to partner with emerging leaders, encouraging them in the way of Jesus to love, serve and transform their countries.
MISSION
Amahoro Africa identifies and connects African leaders by creating theological, relational and transformational space.

AMAHORO AFRICA INITIATIVES
Amahoro Africa Gathering
Provides a place of mutual learning for African and non-African leaders involved in innovative ministries that build disciple-making communities with an emphasis on justice and mercy. Parterships are created and ideas shared to edify both African and non-African participants through a conference, field trips and ongoing mission together.
Amahoro Institue
The content of the Amahoro Institute is three elements: Theology, Context and Praxis. How do we understand the full story of God? How do we then understand our context (post-colonial in our particular community)? How do we marry our theology and contextual understanding into practical outcomes in our local community? The Amahoro Institute is an interactive seminar that carries this content and conversation wherever it is hosted.
Regional Amahoro Cohorts
Creating a local space for emerging leaders to continue the Amahoro conversation on a regular basis. Conversation and connection happen as Amahoro friends engage in on-going intentional collaborative learning as they lead in their community. These cohorts become a place for resourcing, reflection, exchange of best practices, mutual encouragement and a place to dream together about impacting the region with Jesus' message of transformation and hope!
Theological Intensive
The Theological Intensive is an annual session where an African theologian meets a small group of Amahoro leaders for a time of concentrated theological conversation. Over a few days African leaders are invited to think deeply about the intersection between theological imperatives and the realities of life on the ground in their African communities. Leaders will be equipped and encouraged to learn more about the challenges of the Biblical text and return to their local context to teach others.
Life Long Learning
In collaboration with GULL (Global University for Lifelong Learning), we will provide accredited lifelong learning for emerging African leaders. Employing the principles of action learning combined with participation in select Amahoro Africa gatherings, leaders will achieve on-the-job education.
Claude Nikondeha
Claude is a speaker who networks innovative African leaders and thinkers. He is an activist for the poor.
